Senior Manager, Retail Vertical Sales


 

Job Description


At NIQ, the Retail team simplifies and streamlines collaboration between retailers and suppliers by providing a joint set of tools through a shared platform. The team uses diverse data sources, visualizations and tools to provide clear and actionable analysis for our clients. Keeping our clients’ perspectives top of mind, the team delivers mutual growth through quick, accurate and consistent insights. Critical to the success of this role is maintaining a client service orientation, achieved through effective management of day-to-day client interactions as well as reporting of assigned research projects.

Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Identify areas of business opportunity and growth for the business unit
  • Maintain and further foster relationships with current/future clients and develop new retailer clients for long-term cooperation
  • Generate new leads from new clients and proactively explore opportunities from new channels
  • Build the network through active participation in professional associations/ industry conferences/ cold calling
  • Contribute to new business initiatives and participate in the development and launch of new services

Financial Management

  • Achieve revenue, profitability, quality, speed of delivery and productivity targets as well as other related business development objectives as assigned
  • Monitor the actual financial performance against budget / forecast and ensure the implementation of appropriate actions that will led to the achievement of the financial targets

Qualifications
  • 6+ years of B2B Business Development experience with proven sales records.
  • Experience in business development with Retailers/ working in consulting firms/ FMCG is a plus
  • Strong motivation to knock new sales opportunities to new retailer clients.
  • Positive, collaborative, team player, self-motivated, creative, high appetite to learn
  • Smart learner to familiarize with B2B products and NIQ various solutions.
  • Excellence negotiation skills
  • Analytical mindset and proven track record in using data to measure performance and make decisions.
  • Excellent communicator with interpersonal communication skills and presenting to the partner Senior Leadership
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree/ MBA preferred
