Otterbox Hong Kong (Otter Products International) is seeking an Inventory Specialist , to join our APAC team! The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for working with the Demand Planning, Customer Operations, Sales and Procurement teams to manage inventory with the primary aim of achieving on-time-delivery to our customer’s requests: all while striving towards inventory turns goals.
This person will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on inventory levels and will be accountable for communicating key changes and exceptions to the Sales and Operations teams as well as contributing to the Regional and Global Integrated Business Planning to process. They will also have strong interpersonal communication skills to get the job done effectively and efficiently. This role will be based in our office in Hong Kong
Responsibilities
Manage supply to achieve on-time delivery to our customer’s requests while achieving Inventory goals
Monitor product demand to set appropriate stock levels and minimize order quantities
Review and track inventory levels and customer demand for potential stock-outs and action accordingly
Monitor inventory, review slow moving stock and provide suggestions to control inventory
Provide accurate commit dates to customer requests based on supply positions
Provide supply related reports to management team as required
Work within the ERP system to maintain critical master data, planning parameters and transactional data to maintain system accuracy
Action critical supply pull-ins based on customer requirements
Manage the VMI process of one of our key strategic customers
Produce reports on excess inventory, inventory scrap and End of Life assessment
Assist in formulating the long or short-term rolling inventory plan to identify risks and opportunities
Be responsible for inventory replenishment, distribution and allocation in the Asia Pacific region
Perform supply chain analysis with sales, inventory and warehouse data for regular review
Monitor KPIs and create consistent, accurate and easily-accessible overviews of inventory information
Contribute to the creation of new processes and/or lead projects to advance supply planning capabilities for the company
Manage ad-hoc supply planning issues as they arise
Qualifications
B.A. or B.S. degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field required.
Minimum 3+ years’ experience in Inventory Planning role is required
Understanding of supply chain concepts, principles, procedures, and applications, with a passion for process improvements
Demonstrated experience and proficiency with spreadsheets, ERP systems and reporting tools. MS Excel, PowerPoint, and outlook are a must
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills
Ability to work with large amount of data and creatively seek information to improve processes, find solutions to business issues, and drive resolution, in a practical and positive approach.
Flexibility, adaptability, and proven ability to work - to tight deadlines is essential
Strong Team player with a positive attitude and an ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative
Ability to interact and communicate clearly in a global market
Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese, Mandarin is a plus
